Information about cookies
In accordance with Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI), in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of the user of any website that uses non-essential cookies before they browse it.
What are cookies?
certix.es uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very diverse purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits or personalising the way content is displayed. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the correct functioning of the site. The use of these devices allows the web server to remember certain information concerning the user, such as their preferences for viewing pages, name and password, the products they are most interested in, etc.
Cookies affected by the regulations and exempted cookies
According to EU regulations, the cookies that require the informed consent of the user are analytics cookies and advertising and affiliation cookies, while those of a technical nature and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user are exempted.
Types of cookies
By purpose
- Technical and functional cookies: allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and to use the different options or services available on it.

By ownership
- First-party cookies: are sent to the user's device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the requested service is provided.
- Third-party cookies: are sent to the user's device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained.
By retention period
- Session cookies: collect and store data while the user accesses a website.
- Persistent cookies: the data remains stored in the device and can be processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
Processing of personal data
Certix® — Certificación y Gestión Normativa S.L.U. is the Controller of the personal data of the Data Subject and informs them that this data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and therefore provides the following information:
- Purposes of the processing: as specified in the section on cookies used on this website.
- Legal basis for the processing: except in cases where it is necessary for browsing the website, the consent of the data subject (art. 6.1.a GDPR).
